A consortium of international investors will contribute to funding the development of the former Tushino airfield

The large-scale project for transforming the former Tushino airfield, developed by ASTERUS, will be supported by an international investor consortium. Agreements on the subject were reached in July 2018. The first tranche for the project execution was completed in September.

Members of the consortium are the Russia‑China Investment Fund, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, and a number of other funds from Asia and the Middle East.

The involvement of major investors, including those from other countries, reaffirms the high status of the project and provides guarantees that these ambitious plans will become a reality. The former Tushino airfield, 71 hectares in size, will be converted into a modern urban space. Business park will serve as the business core of the multifunctional development. The best intellectual, creative, and production resources from all over the world will be poured into the construction of this new urban area. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the renowned architectural bureau behind Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper (as well as 10,000 other buildings in fifty countries worldwide), has created a unique master plan for the territory’s development.
